Nice job Sandi Kathy Bev Ruth Pam Dewey Sandi. Mike F also, I'm still chuckling at awarding a prize to "a duck?" after Oregon beat the huskies that day.... my son's a duck. I had several exceptional surprises. It was a warm and pleasant evening.

Happy 50th to one and all! Wish I could make it this year! I live in Fredericksburg Texas with my wife Marcia (Priebe) will have our 37th anniversary soon. Retired, enjoy golf and playing guitar. My best to all, I do get up there once in awhile to see my son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons. I have enjoyed my time with Mike Smiley, Pam Woods and Vicki Anderson (Tranter). Wish you all good health and enjoy.

Greetings Fellow Spartans. I'm so excited to see all of you at our landmark, 50th, reunion. If you think about it, it's quite an achievement to have made it this far. Have a fabulous rest of your summer, and hope to see you at the big event October 19th!

Life’s been good, but certainly not easy. Wasn’t sure I’d make the 50th, my kids said it was a miracle that I saw 60 let alone 68. Looking forward to see some of those old faces and sharing the memories that we each have of those school days. Send an email if you want, would love to hear from any of you. Dan

Unfortunately I was unable to catch a last minute flight to attend. I was looking forward to seeing many on the "Who's Coming" list. LP, Don J, Laura & Diane, Marilyn C...to name a few. I have been living in Scottsdale,AZ since Dec 03 and sure do miss the ocean. Fortuately I frequently visit friends & family in Seattle, in which I mainly spend time on/near the water & eat "fresh" seafood! I am looking foward to see pictures from the reunion posted and hopefully there will be a 50th (Medicare) reunion.......

G'day from Downunder, Best wishes to everyone for a 'funtastic' weekend.  Australia is just too far away to make a weekend of it right now, but I do hope you all have a great catch up.  Enjoy! Cheers, Marilyn van Diemen (Mackay)

Greetings to Class of ’69. First I would like to send a special thank you to the Reunion Committee for all the hard work they have done. I am certain a great time will be had by all. I had a good time at the 10yr reunion but missed the others because I was not aware of them. I was so hoping to attend this reunion to reconnect with many classmates, but sadly I will be leaving next week on a business trip to Singapore. I will not return home until early September. If anyone would like to catch up on days gone by please drop me an email. I also hope to see some pictures from the great reunion I will be missing. I will be joining you all in spirit and hope to hear from you soon. Go Spartans……

Hello my fellow 1969 Shoreliners. I went to our 10th and 20th but missed them 30th because of our lack of interest. And now our 40th I shall miss as I'll be traversing Utah for a month on my way to sharig in the wedding festivities of my niece in Carlsbad,Ca on Sept 26th only to return here in Oct. I'm basically retired now after moving to Snohomish in 1995. My body feels it's full 58 yrs but my mind does't agree. Trials in Vietnam made for an up and down life although I've done fairly well and don't have to do it anymore. Was married twice and have been single since 1995. My only son was killed at yrs old in 1997. I still enjoy a cocktail or 3 but quit smoking cigarettes after 40 yrs and now relax with a bowl or two of good pipe tobacco in the evening. I lived in Costa Rica for most of two yrs in '02 & '03 after selling a small business I had. I still want to travel and I love southwestern New Mexico. That's me in a nutshell my gentle people. Enjoy our 40th. PEACE. I hope we have a 50th... Tom

We are going to be able to make it as we are still in the States for now.  I see some folks posted in the guest book that I haven't seen in the classmates section.  Looking forward to seeing some faces from the distant past. Blessings to all Gary Blake

Great to see so many faces!  I spent my last year of high school at Shoreline, having moved to town with the Seattle Pilots baseball team.  Right after graduation I ended up in Southern California.  Now I'm married to Sharon with three children:  Asher, Spencer, and Rachel.  Currently I'm living in Aurora, Oregon.  Since I'm in  construction and the housing industry is in the pit, I am finding it a restraint on coming.  Month to go and I'm not 100% sure I can make it.

comment by Janice Summers

This has been an experience to roam around this site.  So many faces I had forgotten.  There were so many people to get to know in our class and never enough time to know everyone.  Hoping that someone recognizes/remembers me at the reunion. Email me!  I would love to hear from you!   Janice Summers-Peppmiller

I'm looking forward to attending this 40 year reunion with my best friend from K-12, Diane (Basse) Lilleness. I live in Santa Barbara, California now and have been married for 31 years, worked for Western Airlines for 11 years as a flight attendant and quit in 1982 to raise my three sons. With that job complete, I've returned to college for my BA in Liberal Studies and will graduate from Anticoch University Santa Barbara in June 2010. See you all in August.

I'll say a few words here so that maybe I won't have to repeat myself too often at the 'do'.Good things come to those who are patient. Husband Tom & I just celebrated our 28th anniversary. Our (add superlative adjectives here) daughters are 36 & 35; one is married with 2 children, 9 & 11; the other is studying to become a surveyor.Self-employed since '84, co-founder of a graphic design business; we created, designed, edited & published 10 volumes of the Bite of Seattle Cookbook.I also run Hope Cement Finishing since husband Tom retired in 2003 . I merged my love of gardening, travel & nature with photography & created BackyardCards which has led to a bunch of other stuff; the ideas just keep bubbling up. I have been making time to draw and paint at least 5 hours a week since 2003 and really love that. You can see the result with my 'now' picture; completed in March as part of a self-portrait project for a student show at South Seattle CC.

I have continued to live in Shoreline since high school.  My sons graduated from Shorewood.  My wife says she has decided that we are going to come to the reunion.  She is a Shorecrest grad, I think I'm getting set up so I can't decline to attend her's next year.

comment by Marjorie Moore

I wanted to offer my copy of the Tide yearbook (class of 1969) for the reunion. Perhaps there is someone who didn't buy one at the time, who would really like to have one. I have terminal cancer, so I will no longer be able to keep my copy. I would like to find it a good home, with someone who will enjoy having it.  Someone who wants it can contact me & I can ship it to them.

comment by stephanie a (kottsick) kaligis

Thank you "reunion committee" for putting in all the time, talent and devotion to this project. We certainly plan on attending in august and re-meeting everyone from the class of 1969 (that we havn't otherwise stayed in close contact with)......i think we are 'making history', once again:) smile smile and the best to all ! until then...........................

Living in Portland OR these days and as I write this....just 14 more working days till retirement!  Looking forward to the reunion.  Wanted to make it to the 30th until I found out it was cancelled due to low response.  Let's hope this time around we get a chance to get together. What a great website and I really like seeing how we have all "matured".  Maybe after a couple of months of retirement I'll post a then and now picture. You know, once I have time to work off the "sitting in the office cubicle way too much of the time" look.

comment by Phil McCullum

It has been years since I have seen anyone from the class of 69. Nancy (SHS 70) and I left for Mexico afer we were married and eventually moved to Oregon. We live on a vineyard in the Willamette Valley and I work at the University of Oregon. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and thanks to those who put together this cool website and are planning the reunion.
