Thank you to the group that set this reunion up. Well done ! I recently attended my husband's 50th HS reunion (his happened after 51 years because no one volunteered to put it together earlier and had 35 attendees). His reunion was fun too, but the group that coordinated ours generated more interest in the event through fun reminder posts, etc. A very fun event ! Pat Rohrback and I were talking about the idea of another event (maybe a picnic) in much less then another 10 years, maybe in 2 years ?  The food was great, the open bar, old friends, pictures and the talk of our HS years....thank you all.

Nice job Sandi Kathy Bev Ruth Pam Dewey Sandi. Mike F also, I'm still chuckling at awarding a prize to "a duck?" after Oregon beat the huskies that day.... my son's a duck. I had several exceptional surprises. It was a warm and pleasant evening.

Greetings Fellow Spartans. I'm so excited to see all of you at our landmark, 50th, reunion. If you think about it, it's quite an achievement to have made it this far. Have a fabulous rest of your summer, and hope to see you at the big event October 19th!

comment by Dave atherton

Was wondering if there was going to be a 50th.  Count me in if it comes to fruition.

comment by Russ Haydon

Seeing friends from my kindergarten all the way thru high school. Such great memories. It was a real pleasure to see all of you folks.  Thanks to everybody that got the big five oh together. Lets do it again. Russ

So far, I haven’t recognized a single name on here.  Not too surprising, I only spent the first half of my sophomore year and the last half of my senior year at Shoreline. Spent the other two years at Cleveland high school in Portland. Most of the people I knew at Shoreline we’re probably considered the problem children. Ken Pinkerton, Marty Sussort (not sure on that spelling).  We were behind the the  counterfeit ticket sales to the “up with people” assembly and the $5 a head Richmond Beach kegger where we burned the principal (Mr Boytz, if memory serves), in effigy.  Good thing I wasn’t there four years, probably would’ve ended up in prison.  Have fun all!

comment by Jeff Long

What a great evening!!  It wouldn't have happened without all the planning and work of the committee; thanks for putting this together.

comment by Dan Gillette

Life’s been good, but certainly not easy. Wasn’t sure I’d make the 50th, my kids said it was a miracle that I saw 60 let alone 68. Looking forward to see some of those old faces and sharing the memories that we each have of those school days. Send an email if you want, would love to hear from any of you. Dan

Summer\'s here and the time is right        For dancing in the streetThe Curtis Hammond Band, with Jim Brandt (69) on bass and Steve Thompson (68) on drums, will be playing at Lake Steven\'s Music on the Lake, Thursday, August 4th at 7 PM. A nine piece R&R band that has been going strong for 30 years. These outdoor summer shows are fun and relaxing. Love to see some familiar faces in the crowd.

This has been an experience to roam around this site.  So many faces I had forgotten.  There were so many people to get to know in our class and never enough time to know everyone.  Hoping that someone recognizes/remembers me at the reunion. Email me!  I would love to hear from you!   Janice Summers-Peppmiller

comment by Jackie Harrell Cagle

Thank you classmates and friends for a wonderful evening........will never forget you!

comment by Vicki Tranter Andersen

Looking over all of the wonderful pictures people took, I can't believe how many people I didn't get to visit with and yet it seemed the "gabbing" didn't stop!  I guess we will have to have another get together!!!!  What a fun fun time seeing old dear friends.  Memories!  Keep SHS69 on your radar screen so we can find some more of our class.  There were so many that didn't show.  Maybe next time.  Have wonderful days.

comment by Arnie Lund

Greetings Class of '69!  I'm in Class of '68, and we had a blast at our reunion!  It was great to see old friends and catch up on the stories of 50 years of the long and winding road.  I happen to live in Edmonds at this point, so welcome to town and have a fabulous, fabulous evening of memories and catching up! By the way, if you run across anyone in our fencing club back in the day (sponsored by the French teacher), I'd love to hear from you! ARNIE

Happy 50th to one and all! Wish I could make it this year! I live in Fredericksburg Texas with my wife Marcia (Priebe) will have our 37th anniversary soon. Retired, enjoy golf and playing guitar. My best to all, I do get up there once in awhile to see my son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons. I have enjoyed my time with Mike Smiley, Pam Woods and Vicki Anderson (Tranter). Wish you all good health and enjoy.

Unfortunately I was unable to catch a last minute flight to attend. I was looking forward to seeing many on the "Who's Coming" list. LP, Don J, Laura & Diane, Marilyn C...to name a few. I have been living in Scottsdale,AZ since Dec 03 and sure do miss the ocean. Fortuately I frequently visit friends & family in Seattle, in which I mainly spend time on/near the water & eat "fresh" seafood! I am looking foward to see pictures from the reunion posted and hopefully there will be a 50th (Medicare) reunion.......

Here it is almost April, 2011. Seems we just had our reunion but it has been a while now. I think it is time for some type of function. Any ideas? Just meeting up somewhere? Cabin Tav????

comment by Suzanne Macy Marcy

I look forward to seeing you!  My last reunion was the 10th.   I've missed the others much to my disappointment-even the final Shoreline HS closing reunion!  Thank you organizers for getting this going.

G'day from Downunder, Best wishes to everyone for a 'funtastic' weekend.  Australia is just too far away to make a weekend of it right now, but I do hope you all have a great catch up.  Enjoy! Cheers, Marilyn van Diemen (Mackay)

Like to say "HI" to all the "69ers" out there.Took some pics at school one day and hope there still there at classmates.Take a look!

comment by Bev Harrison

When you come to the reunion, there will be plenty of opportunities for photos. We also want any grade school groups to have their photos taken together...so look for each other and try to coordinate getting that accomplished. I know I need a new group photo of North City Elementary "kids". Really looking forward to the 19th and I hope everyone has a wonderful time.

I just found out that Nancy\'s (Ramey: 1970) has her reunion this summer so we will be traveling back to Seattle for the summer of 2010. I hope to host the golf event at our place in Newort Oregon this spring. It was discussed with several 69ers at the reunion. Most importantly, we have our federal winery basic permit and are making some killer Pinot Noir! Stop by Sweet Earth Vineyards on your way through the Willamette Valley. We would love to see you again. Cheers!

I'll say a few words here so that maybe I won't have to repeat myself too often at the 'do'.Good things come to those who are patient. Husband Tom & I just celebrated our 28th anniversary. Our (add superlative adjectives here) daughters are 36 & 35; one is married with 2 children, 9 & 11; the other is studying to become a surveyor.Self-employed since '84, co-founder of a graphic design business; we created, designed, edited & published 10 volumes of the Bite of Seattle Cookbook.I also run Hope Cement Finishing since husband Tom retired in 2003 . I merged my love of gardening, travel & nature with photography & created BackyardCards which has led to a bunch of other stuff; the ideas just keep bubbling up. I have been making time to draw and paint at least 5 hours a week since 2003 and really love that. You can see the result with my 'now' picture; completed in March as part of a self-portrait project for a student show at South Seattle CC.

You really wouldn't believe it..... if I told ya! 40 years is a very long time!

comment by Rob Crump

Living in Portland OR these days and as I write this....just 14 more working days till retirement!  Looking forward to the reunion.  Wanted to make it to the 30th until I found out it was cancelled due to low response.  Let's hope this time around we get a chance to get together. What a great website and I really like seeing how we have all "matured".  Maybe after a couple of months of retirement I'll post a then and now picture. You know, once I have time to work off the "sitting in the office cubicle way too much of the time" look.

comment by Jacque (Haase) Russo

Hey, all! It sure was fun to see everybody!! Especially all my old girlfriends from Echo Lake days!! Our 40th reunion was exactly what I hoped it would be!! And being on the committee made it extra special!! Thanks to all who attended; hope we can still all keep in touch! GO SPARTANS!!!!!

We live on a vineyard in the Willamette Valley and I work at the University of Oregon.
